Your Questions, Answered.
Unveild identifies your anonymous website traffic and helps you effectively retarget them via email, Meta, Google, and more. Our first Product, Rekindle, identifies anonymous website visitors who are in your CDP/CRM/ESP, but are showing up as anonymous because their cookies have expired (all 3rd party cookies expire after 7 days on Safari) or they’re visiting from a new device. Our second product, Acquaint, identifies anonymous website visitors who aren’t yet in your CRM.
Unveild is for consumer-facing brands that want to identify, re-engage, and convert their anonymous high-intent website visitors. Unveild works best with brands, hotels, & experiences that already have an email marketing program in place and have at least 20,000 monthly website visitors - most of whom are in the US.
The ROI varies from brand to brand. Some brands see a 3X ROI and others see a >50X ROI (yes, really). You’ll see a ROI in three major places:
1) In your email marketing revenue (specifically in your abandonment flows), which will increase.
2) In your Meta & Google campaigns, where you’ll see an increase in ROAS and an accompanying reduction in CPC.
3) In the growth of your email list, which will massively accelerate.
Unveild generates a unique, persistent ID for each website visitor, and from this has built its own proprietary identity graph, not reliant on 3rd party cookies, that stitches data together across sessions & sources. In addition to this, if your website visitors’ don’t opt out of your cookie policy, we will try to match their ID against the 20+ publishers & identity graphs and publishers that we have partnered with. In total, our identity network encapsulates 30,000+ websites & 200,000,000M+ US-based adults, and 400,000,000 email addresses.
Acquaint identifies your anonymous website visitors by name and email address. We then match the name/email address to on-site browsing behavior and feed this data into platforms like Klaviyo & Meta so you can retarget and convert these previously anonymous visitors - resulting in more customers at a lower CAC.
Acquaint solves 3 problems:
1) You’re struggling to grow your email list and 1st party data.
2) You’re losing revenue to anonymous cart abandoners who haven’t yet opted in.
3) Without Acquaint, the only way to retarget these high-intent visitors who is via increasingly expensive and ineffective channels like Meta/Google.
1) Increased list growth.
2) Increased abandonment revenue in your Klaviyo flows.
3) Lower CAC.
Whenever a visitor comes to your site and doesn’t opt out, we assign them a unique persistent ID - a digital fingerprint. We then try to match this unique digital fingerprint against our proprietary identity graph and the 20+ other publishers & identity graphs that we’ve partnered with, to return a name and email address for that specific visitor. Whenever we receive a match, we send the email address we returned - as well as that person’s on-site activity (e.g. which products they looked at) to your Klaviyo/Meta accounts. In total, our identity network encapsulates 30,000+ websites & 180,000,000M+ US-based adults, and 400,000,000 email addresses.
Rekindle empowers you to recognize 100% of your returning subscribers, forever. In other words, Rekindle solves the signal loss gap between the actions your subscribers are taking on your site - and what your site is picking up on. It then feeds these previously unrecognized sessions into your existing retargeting/remarketing platforms (e.g. Klaviyo) to drive more conversions at a lower cost.
Safari blocks all 3rd party cookies after 7 days. If one of your visitors has updated their Safari December ‘23 onwards, Klaviyo’s cookie is blocked after just 24 hours. This means that your high-intent subscribers are taking actions on your site, but you’re not able to recognize them and send them timely & targeted 1:1 communication. This also is harming your Meta ROAS significantly.
1) Increased abandonment revenue in your Klaviyo flows as a result of identifying more on-site abandonment actions.
2) Increased EMQ score in Meta, resulting in a higher ROAS and a lower CPC.
A combination of our own internal ID graph, server side tracking, fingerprinting, and more.
Whenever Rekindle identifies a visitor you’ve already recognized, it will return details on that user’s specific session (e.g. pages visited, time spent, etc.). Whenever Acquaint identifies a new visitor, we will always return an email address, the # of pages visited, and the time spent on each page. When possible, we will also share the referring source, phone number, and other key data points available upon request.
Acquaint is fully legal & compliant as email in the US works on an opt-out basis, not opt-in.
For more detailed information on how we work with and comply with CCPA, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM regulations check out our legal/compliance section here. The short version is as follows: CAN-SPAM (which is a framework re: emailing practices) follows an “opt-out” framework. This means that you must give shoppers the ability to opt out of receiving emails, but that you can contact them before they have opted in (this is why cold email is legal). CCPA/CPRA and other state-by-state laws have a similar approach - brands should give consumers the ability to opt out of data collection by having an opt-out section in your website footer. It’s important to note, however, that brands are fully exempt from CCPA/CPRA unless 1) they make more than $25M per year, 2) they collect data on more than 100K consumers in the state at hand, or 3) they make greater than 50% of their revenue from selling customer data. GDPR isn’t relevant here as the acquaint solution only works.
Rekindle’s compliance is straightforward.
It depends.
Rekindle, which restores your ability to recognize folks already in your CDP (and retarget them via abandonment emails), but who are showing up on as anonymous, first-time visitors (this is pretty much anyone who uses Safari) works around the world.
Acquaint, which identifies the names & email addresses of website visitors who haven’t yet form-filled or signed up, only works in the USA.
